FAQ about Wedotec
What are the differences in beam quality?
A jet stream can be assessed according to the following criteria:
- Beam range: How far does the beam reach with sufficient quality?
- Accuracy: How large is the angular deviation of the beam?
- Fan out: From what beam distance and how strongly does the beam fan out?
- Drop size: How big are the drops?
- Drop consistency: Many small drops or one large drop
- Shot volume: How much liquid is sprayed per shot
What are the most important factors influencing beam quality?
The spray quality depends on the geometry of the nozzle valve, the settings, and the environmental conditions:
- Frequency, duty cycle, pressure, voltage, control
- Geometry: nozzle stone, nozzle seal, relative distances
- Environment: Temperature of the FluxJet 2 and the medium, air circulation
What installation positions are possible with the FluxJet 2?
Can you repair the FluxJet 2 yourself?
In the event of a malfunction, the nozzle is often dirty. This can be remedied yourself with a little technical knowledge. Ask for instructions. For more serious problems, we recommend having the device adjusted at a service center.
What materials is the FluxJet 2 available in?
Standard: Stainless steel (1.4305) with Viton seals.
Optional: Grade 5 titanium with Viton seals.
Who developed the FluxJet?
The FluxJet was developed by Wedotec in 2002. Since then, thousands of devices have been put into use.
Does Wedotec ship worldwide?
Yes. Customs duties may apply.
How long will Wedotec continue to supply spare parts?
Spare parts are available for almost all FluxJets manufactured in the last 20 years.
What is the best way to store my FluxJet?
During longer periods of downtime, blow out the FluxJet with compressed air at a maximum pressure of 2 bar and store in a dry place.
Can I leave a FluxJet 2 open for longer without pulsing (apply continuous voltage)?
That depends on the control system. With Wedotec power amplifiers, do not leave it open for longer than 60 seconds.
What connections are available?
Please refer to the data sheet for connection options. Special requests are possible on request.
How far can a FluxJet nozzle valve spray accurately?
Standard: 40–50 mm. With special settings up to 100 mm.
Which container solutions are compatible with the FluxJet 2?
We offer both empty containers with level indicators and versions with sensors. A suitable solution can be provided depending on the application.
Are there Suitable Filters for Use with the FluxJet 2?
Yes, we offer suitable filter systems to ensure a reliable and particle-free supply of the liquid. Please contact us for specific requirements.
